Spain, Busy and Picturesque Lloret

The bay in Lloret de MarAmong the pine trees

Lloret de Mar is the town, where I planned to stay with my friends first. However, after careful consdieration I decided to settle in Malgrat de Mar, which seemed to me more quiet and peaceful.
So, Lloret is renowned for its sandy beaches, long promenade, shops and lively night life. No wonder, that it is one of the most popular holiday resorts on the Costa Brava, and it attracts numerous young visitors from Spain, France, Germany and of course Russia.
I really liked our tour to Lloret, but busyness of this city, I suppose, would not let me feel fully relaxed. No railway station would be another inconvenience of staying here.

Spain, Immortal city of Girona

Today we go to the marvellous city of Girona, which is located in the northeast of Catalonia. It is the small city with lots of ancient buildings, botanical gardens and narrow cobbled streets. It is also famous for The Cathedral, Jewish Quarter, The Eiffel Bridge and a remarkable tradition to kiss the lioness' bottom.
By the way, some of the photos represented here are from the camera of my friend Konstantin, who was travelling with me and other two companions around Spain.

Spain, Arrival to Malgrat de Mar

The beach in Malgrat de MarAt the main staircase of the hotel in Malgrat de Mar

The previous day was really exhausting because of two flights and the long getting to the hotel at night. However, we reached Malgrat by electric train safe and sound. Fortunately, the hotel is located not far from the train station.
Malgrat is a really small and cosy town, which is not overcrowded with noisy tourists, but extremely popular among retired people. The main attractions here are the Church of St Nicolau, the park on the hill with superb panoramic view and magnificent beach. Overall, we have stayed here six days, and I really liked this wonderful place. That was our starting point when travelling around Costa Brava.

Spain, Trip starts in St.Petersburg

On Nevsky Ave in Saint PetersburgSomewhere on the street of Saint Petersburg

Beach and city sightseeing. These are the opposite types of vacation, and they will be presented in one trip. It is wonderful, isn't it? So, I am going to spend two exciting weeks in bright Spain, which is able to offer different kinds of rest.

First, we fly from Novosibirsk to St. Petersburg, and after several hours we move with the Aeroflot airlines to the sunny country.

I should admit that my posts about Spain are not going to be so descriptive as it was before. So, there will be no need to read much. However, I am going to provide my numerous photos with the short but appropriate comments.
